Answer: Dear reader, I've only heard of rare cases in which a person was harmed by drinking too much water. In these cases, the amount of water consumed was an absurd amount (1 & 1/2 gallons) in a short period of time. Stick with 8 to 12 cups of water per day and you'll be safe. The danger is to create an electrolyte imbalance in your body. If you begin to feel light-headed while drinking a lot of water, slow down. Instead of drinking all of your daily water in one sitting, it's best to spread it out and let your body absorb it more thoroughly throughout the day. Bottoms up!
