Catabolic Diet Reviews

Question: I was wondering if you have ever heard about the Catabolic Diet?! It's supposed to be foods that require a lot of calories to digest!!!! I found a website on the Internet that did not have anything good to say about it.. They claim you can only eat like 700 calories!! Do you know of anything? Thanks, Tam

Answer: Dear Tam, The lowest number that I've seen recommended when cutting calories is 1,200 per day. Any less than that, and you're slowing down your body's metabolism too far. Your size, weight and daily activity level will determine your specific caloric intake per day.
