Question: I am 29 years old and have 4 children. I have never exercised because I was always active, but now I am terribly over weight and feel horrible about the way I look and the fact that I don't have the energy to do fun things with my active little boys. I weigh in at 178lbs. What can I do to start a new weight loss diet and exercise plan with little money and even littler time. My youngest is 6 months old and requires a lot of attention. Answer: Dear desperate to lose, The main thing you can do is pretty much what anyone can do, regardless of time or money -- watch what you eat (lean meats, lots of raw veggies, fresh fruit - cut back on bread, soft drinks, and junk food), drink lots of water, and get in as much active playtime as you can with your kids. If you are breastfeeding right now, more weight should come off after you stop.
