Question: I have been reading all the great information on your site! My problem is trying to get motivated, and get started on a healthier lifestyle. I have several risk factors, history of breast cancer, high cholesterol, family history of heart disease. I know I need to get started. Can you offer any advice? Thanks.
Answer: Start by walking a little every day -- 20 minutes. The main goal is to do something that makes you feel good -- something that you will look forward to and be glad you did. Get some good music to listen to, and walk in a beautiful place. A good nutritional goal to start with is eating 5 fruits and vegetables every day.
