Question: Hi, I love your site and have been using it as a reference for my own training program to lose weight and get fit with much success. My question, I am a 25 year old male, and I still, despite improvement in many areas, quite fatty around the middle of my stomach. (A beer belly which won't die!) Do you have any suggestions, either diet or exercise which can help. I already do a pretty intensive abs workout (5 sets of 25 reps), perhaps I am doing it wrong? Joe
Answer: Joe, Your beer belly will decrease in direct proportion to the amount of beers you decide not to have. Abs workouts are fine for strengthening muscles, but it doesn't really do much for the fat that's on top of them. Make sure you're doing enough cardiovascular exercise and eating (and drinking) healthfully.
