Losing Weight before Wedding Day

Question:I am engaged to be married. The only problem is my fiancé prefers skinny girls. I am only 4ft 11 and 135 lbs. Can you give me some hints on how to lose weight? I would like to know some exercises I could do that would help my stomach and my inner thighs go down. Thanks for your time. I hope you can help me since I am dying to be skinny when my wedding day comes. fat bride

Answer: Dear fat bride, The amount of time between now and your wedding will determine how much weight you can lose safely (maximum of 2 lbs per week). I have given all the basics about losing weight in my answers below and in the fitness articles. Don't center your self-image on what someone else wants you to be. Accept yourself for who you are and settle in for a long-term (life-long, in fact) improvement goal. Hopefully your fiancé will love you for who you are, and you can use that love to direct your energy toward improving your self - body included - as your marriage matures.
