Morning Exercise Before Breakfast or After

Question: I am doing my workout 5 times a week in the morning. After talking to a friend, I am wondering if the morning is a good time to work out. My question is regarding whether it's good to work out in the morning after sleeping and not having eaten anything since the previous evening. Is this a productive method?

Answer: It's ok to do a cardio workout on an empty stomach, but if you are doing a weights workout you would feel better if you have a small snack a half hour before.
