My Weight Keeps Going Up and Down

Question: Hi, I am eating 1,100-1,400 calories a day, exercising with aerobics and light weights. My weight goes up two pounds then down two. I can't seem to get past the two pounds. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Megan

Answer: Dear Megan, Safe eating plans never recommend eating fewer than 1,200 calories per day. I recommend more than that, especially since you're exercising so much. Check the Articles section to see how many calories you need per day, based on your BMR. The only other recommendation I have is to drink more water, at least 8 cups per day.
