Restarting Workout After a Long Lapse

Question: I'm 41, medium build, and 5'4". I know I'm over weight. What is a healthy weight for me? I was in the habit of going to the gym for weight training and cardio 2-3 times a week but life got in the way and it's probably been 10 weeks since they have seen my face. I'd like to get back at it. I am sure I won't be able to lift the same weight that I did when I stopped. Any suggestion about where I should start again? Thanks for your help!

Answer: Go back in and start with a light weight. Go so light that you can do 20 - 25 reps with great form, and then take it from there. Then the next time, you may want to go a little heavier, and progressively increase the weights until you're doing 10 - 15 reps per exercise.
