Ways to Speed Up a Slow Metabolism

Question: I have always had a slow metabolism (hereditary cholesterol doesn't help though treated). At 30 years of age, of normal weight and active living, I am starting to see those hips blossoming (!). As your metabolism slows as you age, are exercise and strength training the only ways to increase it (and get rid of those hips) ? What do you suggest ? A new 30 year-old

Answer: Dear 30, Cardiovascular exercise, strength training and regularly eating healthy meals (meaning spread evenly throughout the day - no skipping meals and no bingeing) are the best ways to raise your metabolism.
