What to Eat for Breakfast and How Much
Question: Great website!! I know the most important meal of the day is breakfast, because it stimulates your metabolism into working. I was wondering if there are foods that stimulate it more than others? Should it be a big breakfast or a small one? Should it be bigger than all the other meals during the day? Thanks a lot!!!! Answer: Tamara, Breakfast, being the first meal of the day, would ideally be best if it were the biggest, but our lifestyles usually save the biggest meal for dinner. All that fuel is best put to use during the day when you expend most of your energy, not when you're lying in bed, asleep. Regarding which foods boost your metabolism. It's best to have a balance of proteins and carbohydrates, as well as a little fat, to maintain a good energy level throughout the day.
